Summary: Matched pair of signed photographs, both boldly signed. President Davis photograph is circa 1864, taken while president of the Confederate States by photographer Vannerson in Richmond, Virginia. First Lady Varina boldly signed "as ever your devoted friend Varina Davis." Her photograph was taken around 1867 when they traveled to Canada and then to England, before returning to Memphis.
